Warehouse expansion

A symbolic, ground-breaking ceremony was held on Wednesday 25 October 2017 as an expression of growth.

We are establishing a high-bay warehouse on our premises in Laupheim to meet the continued strong growth in demand. Right next to its manufacturing hall we will have more space as well as for our production area.

Founded by Anton Fritz in 1936, LAKO started producing coir and sisal mats and runners as well as car mats.

In the 60's needlefelt became more and more popular, therefore we began manufacturing these items as well.

Nowadays, we still deliver carmats to automobile manufacturers and importers. Apart from that we supply doormats to food and non-food industries, DIY, garden centres etc.

Last november the CEO in third generation determined the limited production and warehouse area is no longer sufficient.

Furthermore, Knut Braunmiller noted the continually growth of staff.

Due to staff growth the decision was taken the family business has to extend.

Thankfully, we got the official authorization within a year.

In great thankfulness to the workforce it is only possible simply by meticulous teamwork.
